Only existing  broadcasting licensees already providing broadcasting services in Kenya are eligible to complete the attached licence application forms and submit to the Commission to facilitate migration of their existing licences to the new licensing regime within the timeframe specified in the public notice (see notice).

Applications from new applicants for licences are not being accepted at this stage. Applications from existing broadcasters applying for additional licences other than what they already have are also not acceptable.

Once the Commission is ready to commence receiving and processing applications from new applicants or additional licences for existing broadcasters, a public notice shall be issued indicating the commencement date as well as the procedure to be followed. The notice shall be posted on this website and also in the local print media in the near future.
