Peter L. Simani – Director

Mr. Peter Ldhituachi Simani is the Senior Partner and Proprietor of Simani and Associates, a private law firm providing consultancy and legal services in criminal, civil, commercial litigation and the aviation industry.

He has consulted extensively for the major aviation companies operating in Kenya largely in matters relating to registration and establishment of air operations, licensing, processing of insurance claims, syndication and financing of the purchase and leasing of commercial aircraft.

Mr. Simani is on the panel of major local banks and insurance companies in commercial and intellectual property issues.

He has also consulted for the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority largely in drafting and promulgation of the Kenya Civil Aviation Licensing Regulations and in the development of standards and guidance material for the improvement of the consumer protection.

Mr. Simani holds a Bachelor of Laws of the University of Nairobi, Diploma of Laws from the Kenya School of Law and a Certificate of proficiency in French.

He is a member to a number of professional bodies including the Law Society of Kenya, Commonwealth Lawyers Association, International Bar Association, International Commission of Jurists and the Association of European Lawyers.

Mr. Simani is the Chairman of the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal.

He was appointed to the CCK Board in February 2011 for a three year term.
